With a Bachelor in marine science, Laurelyn and her team at Our Patch are passionate about sustainability and looking after our environment. She is also as passionate about Tasmanian pureness and premium quality ingredients that Tasmanian farmers are proudly renowned for. When raised surrounded by such delicious produce within the purest part of the world, amongst a community as tight as our little Patch of pureness, it is a no brainer that all ingredients are locally sourced supporting local businesses, farmers and families.
Buying local also reduces the environmental footprint.
Consumers can contribute toward being environmentally conscious/aware and support their community, purchasing items grown or manufactured nearby. By purchasing food and other goods that are produced locally you stimulate the economy in which you live. Jobs are created or retained, the community gains confidence, families are supported, and as the saying goes one hand washes the other.
