Laura V is one of Australia’s most loved and trusted animal behaviourists. With studies in education, psychology and veterinary science, she is knowledgeable in both the behaviours of animals and their interactions with humans. Through her philosophy, Dognitive Therapy, Laura has helped countless owners and their dogs to achieve a happier healthier relationship.
She has a strong social media following (particularly across Facebook) and a wonderful ability to help us all see a better way to manage relationships with our pets and ensure they remain happy and healthy.
Having just completed her third best selling book published by Penguin books, Laura has regular media appearances and shares her popular radio segment on Melbourne’s 3AW with Dennis Walter.
Chester, an English staffy, is Laura’s dedicated wingman and shadows her everywhere. Even when she is live on on air.
It was Chester that ten years ago taught Laura the importance of treating our animals the same way as people in our lives. He’s an incredibly sensitive, intelligent, thoughtful, kind, caring, gentle and soft and he remains one of the most important people in her life.
Laura has three dogs and a cat. She rescued her other Staffy Alma from a puppy farm and her Chihuahua Cashew after having had several homes before the age of one. Pacho, her cat, was a stray that also found a home with her fur family.
